We are committed to supporting you throughout your job search and at every stage of your career.Mission Your role :As a Payroll Practitioner, reporting to the Payroll Manager (PLP), you will play a central role in managing the compensation of nearly 850 employees across Canada. In a weekly-paced setting, you will be responsible for the full payroll cycle, from data entry to ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesWeekly Payroll ProcessingManage the full payroll cycle each week for all Canadian employees using ADP Workforce NowAccurately enter and process employee changes, including:Creating records for new hiresUpdating employee changes (salary adjustments, promotions, transfers)Managing terminations (final pay calculations and issuance of Records of Employment - ROE)Manage time banks and absences, including paid leave, vacation, sick days, and other types of leaveValidate and process timesheets and hours workedPayroll Data Transfer and Accounting IntegrationEnsure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data transfers to accounting journals, in line with Finance deadlinesProduce, validate,



and submit reports required for accounting allocationsEnsure compliance of exported data from ADP Workforce Now with the general ledger (GL) structurePerform reconciliations between ADP, payroll reports, and the general ledgerIdentify, analyze, and promptly resolve any payroll discrepancies or anomaliesCollaborate closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure smooth and reliable data integrationParticipate in financial and payroll audits, including preparing supporting documentationMaintain thorough documentation of data transfers and suggest continuous improvementsCompliance and AuditPerform payroll reconciliations and prepare government and union remittancesRespond to employee payroll inquiries clearly and professionallyActively contribute to year-end processes (T4, Relevé 1) and payroll auditsYour profile Your profile :Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience; advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce NowExpertise: Strong knowledge of employment standards across all Canadian provinces and experience managing unionized payrollLanguages: Bilingualism (French and English) is essential to support all our Canadian officesCertification: PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation from the National Payroll Institute is a strong asset
