We are looking for an Intermediate .NET Developer for a 3 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 2 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, Web APIs and modern web technologies, along with experience developing Power BI reporting solutions. Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform technologies such as Power Apps and Power Automate is an asset.

This role will work closely with Business Analysts, developers, data professionals, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain internally developed applications and system interfaces.
- Translate functional and business requirements into practical technical solutions and development plans.
- Build and maintain integrations between applications and enterprise systems using APIs and web services.
- Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database components using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Design and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data-driven solutions based on business requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and data needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Participate in application architecture, database design, technical solution design, and development planning.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and production support.
- Investigate application and data-related issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Follow established development standards, source-control practices, documentation requirements, and coding guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation including solution designs, deployment procedures, application specifications, and support documentation.




- Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements and design through implementation and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and other developers to deliver projects successfully.
- Contribute to application modernization, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4–5+ years of professional experience developing applications using C# and .NET/.NET Framework.
- 4–5+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and T-SQL, including queries, joins, stored procedures, functions, and data manipulation.
- Practical experience developing and consuming Web APIs and Web Services.
- Experience with web application development and technologies such as:
- HTML
- JavaScript
- JSON
- Bootstrap
- Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, data structures, and database design.
- Experience working within a structured SDLC and software development environment.
- Robust troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps.
- Experience with Power Automate and workflow automation.
- Experience with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Power Platform.
- Experience designing enterprise integrations and data interfaces.
- Exposure to application modernization or cloud-based technologies.
