Join Sault Area Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Crisis Services. This temporary full-time role requires expertise in mental health assessment and crisis intervention with a focus on community support.
Ideal for a dedicated skilled with at least three years of experience in mental health, this role involves assessing patients with severe mental illness, facilitating smooth transitions from inpatient settings, and liaising with community agencies. You will provide brief supportive therapy and advocacy for clients while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients at risk of hospitalization
• Assist with transitions from inpatient settings
• Consult and refer to community services




• Provide psychoeducation and treatment planning
• Document medication efficacy and patient responses
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 3 years in mental health assessment and treatment
• Minimum 2 years managing complex client needs
• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses
• Crisis intervention skills for various situations
