About Digital nGenuity

Digital nGenuity is a growing managed services provider (MSP). We're a structured, metrics-driven team that takes documentation seriously, escalates intelligently, and invests in each other's growth. We're at a pivotal stage — networking is our identified strategic investment area, and this hire is central to how we build that capability.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a NOC Engineer / Level 3 Technician with deep networking expertise to join our team in a senior, hands-on role. You'll own our most complex network infrastructure challenges across a diverse client base, serve as an escalation endpoint, and help shape the proactive monitoring and remediation capabilities that set a great MSP apart from an average one. This isn't a role where you just close tickets — you'll have real input into how we build our networking practice.

What You'll Be Doing

Network Infrastructure

- Design, deploy, and support firewalls (Meraki, Fortinet, WatchGuard, SonicWall), switches, wireless, and WAN across multi-client environments
- Configure VLANs, QoS, STP, LLDP, and inter-VLAN routing; manage SD-WAN and VPN (IPsec, SSL, IKEv2) deployments
- Support hybrid cloud connectivity with Azure and AWS; manage VNets, VPN Gateways, and M365 / Entra ID integrations
- Implement network segmentation, zero-trust principles (ZTNA), and security best practices across client environments

NOC & Escalation

- Serve as the escalation endpoint for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians — acknowledge escalated tickets same business day with a clear action plan
- Monitor client environments via RMM — remediate alerts proactively before they become client-impacting incidents
- Dispatch to client locations when issues can't be resolved remotely
- Collaborate with the Professional Services / Projects team on work that spans reactive support and project delivery

Backup & Disaster Recovery

- Deploy and manage Datto BCDR as the primary backup platform; support legacy Veeam environments for clients in transition
- Conduct and document DR tests; respond to and remediate backup failures surfaced through RMM alerting

Team & Strategy

- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians; identify work to help develop their skills
- Contribute to monthly team coaching sessions and present one item per month to the broader team
- Report recurring issues and patterns; escalate client relationship concerns
- Identify and automate one process per month through Centralized Services collaboration
- Maintain comprehensive documentation: network diagrams, IP schemas, firewall configs, and change logs

What We're Looking For

Technical:

- 5+ years of hands-on networking experience, with at least 2 years in an enterprise or multi-client MSP setting
- Deep expertise in NGFW administration — Meraki, Fortinet, WatchGuard, or SonicWall
- Strong Layer 2/3 skills: VLANs, RSTP, OSPF, BGP fundamentals
- Proven SD-WAN and multi-site WAN experience
- Practical Azure or AWS networking experience (VNets/VPCs, gateways, hybrid connectivity)
- Experience with ZTNA implementation and support
- Datto BCDR experience preferred; Veeam experience also valued
- Ability to produce and maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation

Professional:

- Strong communicator — translates complex technical findings into plain language for clients and colleagues
- Proactive and self-directed — finds problems before clients do

- Comfortable mentoring junior technicians and contributing to a team culture of learning
- Committed to ongoing certification and professional development

Requirements

- Valid driver's license (on-site client visits are part of this role)
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- Available for after-hours support when client emergencies arise

What Success Looks Like We're transparent about what great performance looks like in this role:

- Certification progress — actively working toward and obtaining relevant certifications
- Strategic contribution — automating at least one process per month
- Operational excellence — backlog management, SLA adherence, and mean time to resolution (MTTR)
- Team contribution — presenting one item per month to the broader team
- Documentation completeness and accuracy

Why Join Us

- Networking is our strategic investment area — you'll shape how we build this practice, not just maintain it
- Senior role with real input into tool selection, process design, and client technology strategy
- Certification and professional development support — recognized and rewarded
- Standards-driven culture: structured, accountable, and committed to doing MSP the right way
- A team that escalates well, documents thoroughly, and genuinely invests in each other
