: Under the direction of the Manager, CSPP - Operational Practice Support, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Health Services model of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and programs. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with the Manager, the CNE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs.

The Clinical Nurse

Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within designated programs in the SHA.

Experience

- Experience developing/implementing/evaluating programs/resources
- 3 years experience in clinical area within the past 5 years
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities

Education

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)





Licenses

- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Other Information

- Lifting/moving clinical equip. may be req'd in accord. w/EH&S; Standards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
