Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and patient-focused Nurse Immunizers to join our team for the upcoming Fall 2026 immunization season.

This paid, temporary/seasonal position is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexible work while helping to deliver influenza, COVID-19, and other authorized immunizations in a community pharmacy setting.

You will work alongside our pharmacists, pharmacy students, and pharmacy team to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centred immunization services.

The position is primarily part-time and seasonal, with shifts expected during the Fall 2026 immunization campaign. Additional hours may be available depending on immunization demand, availability, and operational needs.

The ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset given the patient populations we serve.

Responsibilities

- Administer influenza, COVID-19, and other authorized vaccines in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and protocols
- Complete appropriate patient screening and pre-immunization assessments
- Obtain and document informed consent
- Prepare and administer vaccines safely and accurately
- Educate patients regarding vaccines, including expected benefits, potential adverse effects, and post-immunization care
- Accurately document immunizations and maintain appropriate patient records
- Monitor patients following immunization and recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions
- Provide first aid and emergency response when required
- Assist with immunization clinic set-up, workflow, and organization
- Maintain appropriate infection prevention and control practices




- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy assistants, and other members of the healthcare team

Qualifications

- Current registration and good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), where authorized and qualified to provide immunizations
- Current competency and authorization to administer immunizations within your scope of practice
- Completion of applicable BCCDC immunization education and competency requirements
- Current CPR certification and appropriate emergency response training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a pharmacy team
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Previous immunization or vaccination clinic experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset

Schedule Immunization shifts are expected to be available primarily during the Fall 2026 influenza and COVID-19 vaccination campaign, with scheduling based on vaccine demand and clinic needs.

Availability during weekdays and Saturdays is an asset.

Work Location In person at MJ’s Pharmacy locations in Metro Vancouver.
