: This position works as part of an interdisciplinary primary health care team. Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health services to the community of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The Nurse
Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively with a physician, depending upon the complexity of client needs.
This includes: health promotion and protection; first line treatment and emergency services; provision of supportive counselling and instruction in management of medical conditions; disease and injury prevention; initiating and conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects; and collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals as required.

Experience
- Three (3) years experience working as a Registered Nurse
- One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion
Education
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Experience as an RN in a primary healthcare or home care setting is an asset
- Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required
- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)
