Khan Communication Services, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our agency in providing services to students in schools, and also in our community clinic.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with students of all ages in schools doing assessments, providing consultations and universal strategies to teachers and parents. The candidate should have experience working on site with a multidisciplinary team including SLP, PT, Psychology, and other consultants. Some travel outside Edmonton city limits is required (i.e. 1 hour to 1.5 hours outside of Edmonton) with km and travel time reimbursements provided.

Position Summary:

· Conduct informal and formal assessments for preschool, kindergarten and school aged children

· Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate assessment and intervention approaches for students with various needs, and be able to train parents to target OT goals.

- Demonstrate ability to provide consultations to teachers and school teams as required.

· Develop treatment goals based on assessments and provide strategies to parents,



teachers and support staff
- Provide in services and workshops to parents and teachers.

· Collaborate with other health care professionals on a service team.

Qualifications:

· Registration with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

· Superior oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to parents and school team.

· Ability to present oneself in a friendly and positive manner

· Ability to manage information and maintain confidentiality especially digital client records

· Completed Police Information Check and Qualified Liability insurance

· Own vehicle required

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Experience working in schools

Pay: $72.00-$82.00 per hour

Licence/Certification

- Do you have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Registration with ACOT required (required)
