Role Description This is a full-time Occupational Therapist role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with a hybrid work model that combines in-clinic visits and some work from home.
The Occupational
Therapist will assess clients’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-informed interventions to promote independence and participation in daily activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, documenting clinical findings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and providing client and caregiver education. The role involves working with clients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations,
in various settings.
The Occupational
Therapist will also participate in care planning meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that support holistic and inclusive client care.
Qualifications
- Clinical practice skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Foundational knowledge in Medicine and related health sciences to support interdisciplinary collaboration and client safety.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear documentation, client education, and teamwork with diverse health professionals.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including assessment and intervention for children and youth with varying needs.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body (e.g., College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario).
- Relevant university degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model within the Greater Toronto Area, including travel to client locations as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to client-centered, culturally sensitive, and non-discriminatory practice.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage a varied caseload.
- Experience with electronic health records and basic computer proficiency is an asset.
