Position: Office Furniture Installer

Reports To: Operations Manager / Project Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Furniture Installer to join our team. This role can be structured either as a full/part-time employee or as an independent contractor, depending on the candidate’s preference and qualifications.

You will be responsible for the professional assembly and installation of office furniture systems, including cubicles, workstations, casegoods, and floor-to-ceiling modular wall systems. Your industry expertise will ensure accurate, efficient installations and satisfied clients across corporate and commercial environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Assemble, deliver, and install office furniture systems (cubicles, workstations, storage units, conference furniture, etc.).
- Install floor-to-ceiling modular walls and related components in alignment with manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure installations are completed efficiently, safely, and within project timelines.
- Inspect all products before and after installation to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to execute layouts and meet deadlines.




- Provide professional customer service and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
- Maintain safe handling practices when lifting, moving, and positioning furniture and wall components.
- Accurately document work performed and report issues, damages, or discrepancies.

Qualifications
- Required: Proven experience in the office furniture installation industry (cubicles, systems furniture, modular/floor-to-ceiling walls).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with industry-leading manufacturers (e.g., Teknion, Herman Miller, Steelcase, Global, Falkbuilt, DIRTT, etc.) is an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy panels and furniture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Robust communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (truck/van an asset).
- Must provide own tools if working as an independent contractor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
