Liard Hot Springs Lodge is a central stop on the Alaska Highway between Fort Nelson, BC and Watson Lake, YK surrounded by incredible northern scenery and right across the highway is the second largest natural hot springs in Canada, at the provincial park.

About the Position

Liard Hot Springs Lodge & RV Park is seeking an experienced and motivated On-Site Supervisor to join our team at our remote Northern British Columbia location.

Reporting to the General Manager, the On-Site Supervisor will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Lodge, supporting the company’s business objectives while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This position will provide leadership to employees, oversee hospitality services, support property and facility operations, and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for both guests and staff.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a remote hospitality environment and is comfortable balancing guest service, employee supervision, administration, and property operations.

Key Responsibilities

Guest & Customer Service

- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality.
- Train and coach staff on guest service standards and effective customer relations.
- Promote a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for guests and employees.
- Build and maintain a strong reputation and brand presence for the Lodge through consistent service excellence.
- Respond professionally and effectively to guest concerns and operational issues.

Employee Leadership & Supervision

- Train, supervise, and support employees as required.
- Ensure employees understand and follow company goals, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Promote positive employee relations, teamwork, accountability, and workplace wellness.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial employment and labour legislation.
- Promote and maintain a safe and respectful workplace.

Property & Facility Operations

- Oversee the care, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of Lodge buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Make health and safety a daily priority in all aspects of operations.
- Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate repairs or appropriate corrective action.
- Possess or develop a working knowledge of basic generators,



plumbing, electrical systems, septic systems, and other remote-site infrastructure.
- Ensure the property is maintained to a high standard for guests and employees.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

- Assist the General Manager in achieving annual operational and financial goals.
- Assist with daily cashier reconciliation, payroll, and daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Assist with the collection, reporting, and security of registration fees and sales revenue.
- Maintain accurate guest registration and operational records.
- Support business planning, forecasting, and future growth initiatives.
- Assist with monitoring operational priorities and expenses.

Other Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively with employees of Deh Tai GP Ltd. and associated business services.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee, guest, and business information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Proven leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Strong professional writing and administrative skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and current driver's abstract.

Assets

- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in hospitality, business, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a remote or northern hospitality environment.
- Experience with facility maintenance, generators, plumbing, electrical systems, or other remote-site operations.

- Live and work on-site at Liard Hot Springs Lodge with other employees.
- Work in a remote location with limited services and amenities.
- Work with diesel generator power, artesian well water, and a septic tank system.
- Perform repetitive and physically demanding work when required.
- Manage competing priorities with a high degree of independence.
- Work extended hours and overtime as required.
- Adapt to changing operational and guest-service demands.
