We're seeking passionate English educators who believe in the transformative power of great literature and skilled writing. If you love helping students discover their voice as readers and writers, and you're energized by one-on-one mentorship, we want you on our team. This is 100% remote work with the flexibility to build your own student roster.

What You'll Do

- Deliver Personalized English Instruction: Provide one-on-one tutoring in literature, reading comprehension, and writing—from foundational skills through advanced essay composition and literary analysis
- Diagnose & Address Learning Needs: Assess each student's strengths and gaps, then design targeted lesson plans that build genuine understanding
- Foster Reading & Writing Passion: Help students develop confidence and enthusiasm for books, authors, and the written word
- Create Engaging Sessions: Lead interactive,



technology-enhanced lessons using digital tools that bring texts and writing techniques to life
- Track Progress Meaningfully: Monitor student advancement, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate growth
- Stay Curriculum-Current: Ground lessons in Ontario Curriculum standards while adapting to individual student needs

Who We're Looking For

- English Subject Expert: Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or closely related field
- Experienced Educator: Proven teaching or tutoring background at the high school level with demonstrated effectiveness
- Engaging Presence: Energetic, passionate teaching style that brings literature and writing to life on screen
- Skilled Communicator: Exceptional ability to explain complex concepts clearly and connect with diverse learners
- Lesson Development: Track record of creating comprehensive, thoughtful instructional materials
- Adaptable & Patient: Comfortable working with various learning styles; genuinely empathetic approach to student challenges
- Flexible Availability: Able to accommodate student schedules across weekdays, evenings, and weekends
