Overview

Reporting to the Chief Engineer the shift Engineer is responsible for the secure and efficient plant operations and maintenance of the high pressure steam plant, compressed air equipment, Chillers system, HVAC systems andall related machinery in the mechanical rooms. The Engineer will work 8 or 12 hour shifts in the maintenance of plant and building equipment or plant operation during days, evenings, nights, weekends or statutory holidays depending on requirements.

Education

- 3rd Class Operating Engineer's TSSA License.
- Diploma in Power Plant engineering.
- College or University graduate.

Qualifications

- 1 year minimum experience in a similar role. Hospital setting preferred.
- Experience with steam boilers, water treatment, HVAC system, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, air compressors and building automation systems (BAS).
- Operational use ofcomputerized Building Automation Systems and Preventative Maintenance Systems.
- Able to read, interpret and utilize schematics and line diagrams.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and effective problem solving skills.
- Good work and attendance record required.
