Role Description The Operations & Inventory Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Victoria, BC. This role is responsible for overseeing daily inventory activities, including tracking stock levels, coordinating physical inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
The coordinator manages shipping and receiving processes, verifies incoming and outgoing materials, and ensures accurate documentation in inventory systems. The role works closely with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain efficient inventory control, support production schedules, and optimize storage and handling practices.
The coordinator also supports continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring inventory KPIs, identifying process gaps, and implementing standardized procedures.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and perform regular reconciliations.
- Experience conducting physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits in a warehouse or operations environment.
- Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving processes, including verification, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
- Strong background in inventory control and inventory management, including use of ERP or inventory software.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comfort working in an on-site operations workplace, with basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data entry; experience generating inventory reports is an asset.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.
- Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a technology, manufacturing, or industrial setting is an advantage.
