Role Description The Opticien/ne is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC. This role involves advising clients on frame selection, lens options, and optical solutions tailored to their needs and prescriptions. Day-to-day tasks include performing measurements for lenses, adjusting and fitting eyewear, and ensuring visual comfort and product quality.

The Opticien/ne collaborates with optometrists to support eye exams, explains recommendations to clients, and helps coordinate appointments and follow-ups. The role also includes maintaining product displays, managing orders and repairs,



and delivering a professional, customer-centered experience at all times.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of optics and lens technologies, including lens measurements and frame adjustments.
- Experience supporting optometry services and familiarity with basic eye exam procedures and terminology.
- Proven customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Attention to detail in fitting, verification, and quality control of eyewear products.
- Relevant training or certification in opticianry or optical dispensing; provincial licensing is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site full time, collaborate in a team setting, and manage multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
- Comfort working in a retail environment, including handling point-of-sale transactions and basic inventory tasks.
- Proficiency in English; French language skills are a robust asset for serving local clientele.
