Dumalo Optometry is an independent practice that has served the North Shore for more than 40 years. We combine high-quality vision care with attentive service and an award-winning optical boutique featuring a distinctive selection of eyewear.

We’re looking for a friendly, organized person to join our close-knit team. This is a full-time position of 32–40 hours per week, although approximately 24 hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Training will be provided so previous optometry or medical-office experience is an asset but not required.

The Role:

In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming, efficient experience for our patients from arrival through the initial stages of their eye examination. Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming and checking in patients
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Processing payments and completing general administrative tasks
- Dispensing retail eye-care products
- Collecting initial patient histories
- Operating specialized optometric instruments used in preliminary testing
- Supporting patient flow and helping the office run smoothly
- Contributing to an exceptional experience for every patient

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting wage is $22–$26 per hour, based on relevant experience and transferable skills. We regularly review compensation against the local market.

Schedule: The clinic is currently open Monday-Saturday (we close Saturday for every long weekend so staff can enjoy a long weekend off). Saturday shifts are a regular part of this position.
