Prairie Sk-eyes Optometry is looking for an optometric assistant to join our team because one of our loved employees will be moving on in the Fall. No experience is required, however previous experience in a medical field or in office administration is an asset. There will be on the job training and potential for sponsored courses to up your game and wage!

We are looking for someone to work full time, Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts ranging from 8:30-6:00. No weekends, no evenings, and no stat holidays. We are also closed for extra days over Christmas holidays to spend quality time with our families.

Your role may include, but is not limited to:

- Check in patients, run through insurance, book appointments, answer phone calls and take payments
- Pre-test patients before they see the doctor




- Help patients with eyeglasses frame and lens selection.
- Dispense and sell glasses
- Contact lens teaching
- Keep the office organized and clean
- Be able to troubleshoot independently
- Work well in a team environment!

Qualifications:
- You MUST be good with people!
- You need to be able to help patients of all ages and of all backgrounds
- Have a positive attitude and mindset
- Organization and attention to detail is key so you must be able to multi-task
- Be professional yet enthusiastic
- Respond well to constructive criticism

Compensation:
- Starting at $19.00/hour, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications. And of course, excellent vision care and eyewear perks!
