Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle and equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. As an integral part of our logistics operations, you’ll have the opportunity to operate heavy equipment, utilize forklifts, and perform automotive repairs as needed to maintain optimal vehicle performance.

Duties

- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage freight loading and unloading using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs to maintain vehicle safety and reliability
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route planning, delivery schedules, and updates on freight status
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies during operations




- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues related to freight handling or vehicle performance

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities effectively
