Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. This role offers the opportunity for experienced drivers to operate their own vehicles while delivering freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess solid driving skills, a solid understanding of freight handling, and experience with heavy equipment operation. This position is essential for maintaining timely deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction across various routes.

Duties

- Safely operate your own commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform minor automotive repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Manage freight documentation, including delivery logs and shipping paperwork
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during transit and loading/unloading processes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise




- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of your vehicle to meet safety standards

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid CDL license preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
