Nuts for Cheese is seeking a hands-on Packaging Supervisor to lead our packaging and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily packaging department activities to ensure production goals, quality standards, and food safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can troubleshoot line issues, drive efficiency, and maintain a culture of safety and accountability on the floor. This is a dayshift role, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily packaging line operations ensuring production schedules and volume targets are met.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate packaging line operators and provide coaching and performance feedback.
- Monitor line performance and drive continuous improvement to meet efficiency and cost targets.
- Partner with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Ensure all packaging activities comply with food safety, GMP, BRCGS, allergen control, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure quality checks throughout the shift (weights, seal integrity, code/date accuracy, label placement, case counts) and take corrective action on out-of-spec conditions.
- Enforce safety policies and lead by example on the floor; participate in incident investigations and near-miss reporting.
- Support new product launches, packaging trials, and equipment installations or upgrades.
- Supervise warehouse activities.
- Foster clear communication between packaging and production departments.

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in a packaging or supervisory role, ideally within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Post secondary education in industrial management or a related field.
- Working knowledge of packaging equipment (thermoformers, pneumatic equipment, case tapers etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including scheduling, training, and performance management of hourly employees.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple lines/priorities at once.




- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, or shift coverage as needed.
