The essential function of this position is to work alongside the Packhouse Supervisors to assist with the day to day packing needs and the supervision of the packing lines, resolve work related problems with assistance of management ; train and supervise packhouse staff to ensure quality is maintained; and lastly the ability to work with various departments.

- Motivate and train/coach new employees on proper packing methods to ensure quality and output are met.
- Provide instruction to employees for all packing related tasks and jobs
- Learn paperwork for completion of daily reports.
- Learn and operate packing lines and packing equipment.
- Conduct inventory counts of packaging and product.
- Learn all product specs and food safety protocols in the Packhouse.
- Ensure all packing lines and the Packhouse are cleaned at the end of the day to meet food safety policies.
- Report any employee incidents or concerns to management .
- Report any mechanical issues on a daily basis to management/maintenance.
- Be in contact with shipping/receiving admin.

Position Requirements: * Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

- Self motivated, positive attitude, work independently.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Follow all Food Safety & Health & Safety Policies.
- Must be able to remain calm and think clearly in the face of adversity.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing while addressing everyone in a respectful manner.
