Willow Creek Composite High School requires a Part-Time (.6285 FTE) Learning Commons Facilitator. The hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. (22 hours per week). This position will commence on August 26, 2026.

Desired Qualifications Include The Following

- Experience working in a learning commons environment.
- Experience with or a willingness to learn the Renaissance, STAR reader, Accelerated Reader, and Destiny programs.
- A passion for learning and reading that can be shared with students of all ages and reading ability.
- A willingness to collaborate with staff and students to enhance learning.

Key duties will involve

- Creating and maintaining an inviting, nurturing, and safe environment that fosters intellectual and team-oriented inquiry.
- Monitoring and supporting staff with Renaissance assessments (STAR Reading,



STAR Math, Accelerated Reader).
- Supporting students taking courses through LRSD's virtual school.
- Managing the acquisition, processing, organization, distribution, maintenance and inventory resources in the learning commons that reflects a culturally diverse collection of resources.

Willow Creek Composite High School, located in Claresholm, Alberta is a grades 7-12 school with approximately 350 students.
