Sunhouse is hiring experienced Babysitters to work with lovely local families. We care about reliability, kindness, and a genuinely human approach to care, and we look for the same in the people we work with.

The role

We're hiring casual, on-call Babysitters for one-off and short-term bookings. Most of our families have infants and toddlers, so we're especially looking for caregivers who feel calm, capable, and confident with the under-2 age group, open to other experience as well.

This is a fully flexible role. Bookings range from a single evening to short recurring runs. You're never obligated to accept a shift, you pick the ones that fit your week.

Babysitting with us often turns into part-time work. Families who love their sitter ask for recurring afternoons and school-year runs, and our active sitters hear about those first.

You're a solid fit if you have

- Hands-on experience caring for young children
- A warm, grounded, present way of showing up




- A reputation for being reliable, punctual, and professional
- A current CPR-C certification, or the willingness to get certified
- Police check with vulnerable sector screening, or willingness to obtain one
- Legal ability to work in Canada with children
- References from past caregiving roles you can speak to

Pay at a glance

- Rates range from $22 to $28 per hour depending on the shift
- Hourly rate adjusts based on the number of children and the type of booking
- Hotel and Airbnb bookings are paid at a higher rate
