The Colton & The Hudson – Langley, BC
We are currently looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional Part-Time Handyman / Maintenance Technician to assist with ongoing maintenance at our rental communities, The Colton and The Hudson.
This is an as-needed, part-time position ideal for someone who is a true “jack of all trades” and takes pride in solving problems properly — not just replacing parts unnecessarily.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid general handyman and maintenance skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues independently
- Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance repairs, and general building maintenance
- Exterior maintenance experience including pressure washing, landscaping touch-ups, garbage enclosure upkeep, lighting checks, seasonal maintenance, etc.
- Professional, presentable, and comfortable communicating directly with tenants
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Must be able to use a computer/phone/tablet to:
- View maintenance tasks and work orders
- Communicate updates
- Coordinate with management and tenants
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Must have reliable transportation and basic tools
Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone practical and resourceful — someone who can assess an issue and repair it properly wherever possible, rather than immediately replacing items. Attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication are extremely important in this role.
Position Details
- Part-time / on-call / as required
- Flexible hours depending on workload
- Work split between two residential properties in Langley
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
