Medical Office Assistant (MOA)
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Appointment Coordination: Answering calls, scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments, as well as booking specialty tests.
- Patient Chart Management: Updating patient records, uploading medical results, managing faxes, and coordinating with other healthcare providers, including family doctors.
- Administrative Duties: Assisting senior MOAs with referrals, faxes, and biopsy organization.
- Patient Interaction: Checking in patients, data entry, and ensuring appointments are confirmed.
- Office Maintenance: General exam room cleaning, preparing, and stocking medical and office supplies.
- Communication: Receiving and making appointment calls.
- Office Equipment Use: Proficient in faxing, printing, and scanning documents.
Assets:
- Experience with EMR systems. (oscar)
- Experience in a specialist's office or busy, multi-team member environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently.
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English is required.
- Timeliness and consistency in work-life management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Office Assistant diploma or certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
