Part-time Project-Based Full-Stack Developer (Web Platform & Integrations)

Project-Based Contract

Approximately 6–10 hours per week

Our client, an education company, is building a modern academic and enrichment experience for high school students. We're looking for a motivated full-stack developer to help build and refine the technology that powers their digital platform, from their website and backend systems to key platform integrations and internal tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for meaningful project work alongside their studies, another role, or freelance practice. You'll work directly with the founders and have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on a growing organization from the ground up.

What You'll Be Working On

Responsibilities may include

- Building and enhancing the website
- Developing internal tools and administrative features
- Building student and family-facing platform functionality
- Connecting third-party platforms and APIs
- Developing and maintaining backend services
- Creating workflow automations and integrations
- Supporting payment processing and online registration
- Troubleshooting bugs and improving performance
- Writing clean, well-documented, maintainable code

As priorities evolve leading up to launch, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of meaningful projects across the company’s technology ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in your ability to build, learn, and solve problems than in the number of years you've worked. Experience with many of the following would be an asset:

Frontend

- React
- Next.js
- TypeScript




- HTML/CSS
- Tailwind CSS

Backend

- Node.js
- REST APIs
- Authentication
- PostgreSQL or similar relational databases

Integrations

- Stripe
- Google Workspace APIs
- Webhooks
- Third-party API integrations

Development Tools

- Git & GitHub
- AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude)
- Deploying and maintaining modern web applications
