Role Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and patient Programming and Robotics Coach to guide students (ages 5–14) in designing, building, and programming robots. You will mentor students through engineering challenges, help them prepare for competitions, and foster an workplace that encourages curiosity, resilience, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead weekly coaching sessions in robotics design, programming, and competition strategy.
- Teach programming fundamentals (C++, Python, block-based coding).
- Support students in building, testing, and troubleshooting robots.
- Prepare teams for competitions by practicing skills and strategies.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and creative problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching or working with robotics teams is preferred.
- VEX Robotics experience is a plus but not required.
- Programming knowledge (C++, Python, or block coding) is an asset.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills.
- Experience working with youth is an advantage.
- Availability for evenings/weekends as required.
- VEX Experience is an asset
