Apex Achievers Math Academy is seeking a Part-Time Student Math Tutor, to assist and lead Junior High and Lower High School Students through math enrichment programming and tutoring . This is a great role for future educators and college students to gain experience and references for future teaching careers while making competitive tutoring wages during their studies.
Duties
- Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on various math topics aligned with students’ needs and curriculum standards. All programming will be provided by Apex Academy Math Academy
- Assess students’ current understanding and tailor lessons to address individual strengths and areas for improvement
- Support students with homework, test preparation, and study strategies to enhance their learning outcomes
- Promote a positive,
encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to actively participate and develop confidence in math
Skills
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or tutoring settings
- Solid knowledge of math concepts across various grade levels and curricula
- Effective teaching skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently
- Classroom experience or familiarity with instructional techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of special education strategies to support diverse learning needs
