As the Parts Advisor, you support the identification and coordination of parts for all internal and external customers. You are competent, trustworthy, and treat customers with respect and like a partner. You make a substantial contribution to the efficiency of the Parts Department while providing a high level of customer service and promoting the brand.

Job Duties

- Assist customers by phone or over the counter, providing consistent, high-level service
- Process daily customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions
- Assist technicians in identifying and determining the parts required for repairs
- Determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped
- Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing of parts, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure shipments are prepared and delivered in a timely manner
- Sort and place materials or parts on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, style, product code, or other predetermined sequences
- Properly label and mark materials with identifying information
- Record parts and materials received or distributed using the appropriate computer system
- Receive stock and non-stock items and verify specifications, quantities, and quality




- Provide necessary information to the Warranty Department to support the timely filing of parts warranties
- Assist with preparing for and completing physical inventory counts
- Prepare orders by pulling parts from stock or securing parts as required to meet delivery requirements
- Process reports, requisitions, paperwork, and other documentation as required
- Maintain an organized and orderly parts warehouse and work area
- Ensure parts and materials are stored accurately and efficiently

Requirements

- High school diploma
- One or two years of related Parts Advisor or Parts Counter experience
- Automotive parts knowledge is a definite asset
- PBS experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email
- Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical functions
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and a positive team attitude
- Overtime as required
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals

Hours of Work Full time:Monday–Friday day shifts with alternating Saturdays.

Compensation

Monthly Salary of $3,500 + 1.5% gross profit
