Transdev Canada is hiring a Full-Time Parts Clerk to join our Abbotsford team!

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced maintenance environment? As a Parts Clerk, you will play an important role in keeping our maintenance operation running smoothly by ensuring technicians have the right parts and materials when they need them.

You will manage inventory, coordinate orders with suppliers, support work order accuracy, and help ensure parts, vehicle records, and warranty information are properly tracked. Your work will directly support the maintenance team and help keep our transit fleet safe, reliable, and on the road.

Your Role

Stock Room Management

- Ensure BC Transit and Transdev-owned parts are physically separated and properly identified within the stock room.
- Monitor and update bin locations as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stock room at all times.

Inventory Management

- Order parts using requisitions and Min/Max inventory processes for both Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
- Coordinate with the Chilliwack Maintenance Supervisor on bus-down orders and urgent parts requirements.
- Use RTS Connect to manage BC Transit parts orders for both locations.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Receive, verify, and restock inventory physically and electronically in the CMMS system for Abbotsford.
- Process store-to-store inventory transfers and communicate inventory movements to BC Transit as required.
- Create parts kits for regularly scheduled maintenance activities.
- Manage vendor returns for obsolete or outdated inventory.
- Monitor bulk fluid tank levels and coordinate replenishment as required.

Purchasing

- Create purchase orders for parts and ensure orders are processed accurately.
- Receive parts upon arrival and promptly update purchase orders.




- Monitor backorders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up on stagnant requisitions and purchase orders.
- Coordinate with BC Transit regarding parts orders and requirements.

Shipping & Receiving

- Prepare shipping materials and required documentation.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with BC Transit.
- Safely load and unload parts and materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Operate forklift equipment safely and in compliance with company policies.

Work Orders

- Liaise with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to review work orders and ensure parts information is accurate and complete.

Warranty Management

- Tag and prepare warranty return parts for shipment to BC Transit.
- Ensure warranty returns are properly documented and processed in a timely manner.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all parts room, shipping, receiving, and material-handling activities follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain required certifications, including WHMIS and forklift/material-handling certification.

Other Duties

- Provide support to the maintenance team and perform other related duties as required.

Your Profile

- Previous parts room, inventory, warehouse, fleet, or maintenance support experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with maintenance staff, supervisors, managers, and vendors.
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory, purchasing, and maintenance systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Safety-focused approach to all work activities.
- Forklift or material-handling experience/certification is considered an asset.

Your location

- Unionized, full-time position based in Abbotsford, BC.
- 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Some weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
