Parts Manager

We are currently accepting resumes from individuals who are looking for a career as a Parts Manager at Calmont Equipment (Bobcat of Edmonton) in Edmonton, AB A Parts Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department. Operational requirements include the marketing and profitability of the department, the capacity and efficiency at which it is operating, the quality of the work being performed, the degree of customer satisfaction, and follow-up of workshop statistics.
In addition, accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, and staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising. Effective and pro-active management of staff resources to facilitate employee retention, productivity, and job satisfaction is key to achieving operational success.
The core responsibilities of a Parts Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Provide pro-active leadership and management of all staff resources within Parts Department to maintain a functional department in line with overall department forecasts and company policies.
- Understands and adheres to Company standards, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintains effective working relationships and communications with other company departments and personnel.
- Foster the team environment and create a “group culture".
- Drive and maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity.
- Actively seek and keep abreast of all relevant industry/ occupational knowledge, changes and potential opportunities thru the pursuit and participation of training, industry specific literature, industry, trade or qualified specific associations and education.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE · High School Diploma or GED.
· Minimum of 5 years related dealership experience in heavy-duty equipment industry.
· Minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience in related industry environment.
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
· Effective interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with wide number of people, including peers, subordinates, and other company departments and staff.
· Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
· Solid customer service attitude and leadership to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
