Overview

We are seeking friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associates to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and organized deli area. The ideal candidates will have experience in food service and possess strong skills in food handling, cash handling, and sanitation.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and efficiency are valued. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble deli products according to company standards, including slicing meats and cheeses, and creating sandwiches or salads.
- Operate POS systems for processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties, with attention to accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections, answering questions, and upselling products when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Restock supplies and ensure the display cases are well-organized and appealing.




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure product quality and safety.

Experience

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Skills in food preparation, serving, cashiering, and food safety are highly desirable.
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Experience in sanitation practices within a kitchen or food environment is beneficial.
