We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a 24hr. care setting. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalized care and assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the manager.
- Support clients by employing effective communication techniques and engaging them in meaningful activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or health care roles is preferred, especially in care settings.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate support.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
- valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are required.
- Willingness to undergo background checks as required by facility policies.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may include lifting or assisting clients with mobility needs.
