Responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:

- Assist with all activities of daily living including skin care, oral care, hair care, bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility, feeding and recreational activities
- Provide for the comfort, safety and well-being of residents
- Observe and report on residents’ health and living conditions
- Recognize and report changes in a resident’s behaviour/condition
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly environment for residents
- Respect for resident confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Sort and bag soiled clothing and linens, make and change beds
- Assist in planning and implementing resident plans of care




- Follow all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Use secure work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety
- Complete all mandatory education assigned

Requirements:

- Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Police Record Check that includes a vulnerable sector screen and has been conducted within prior six months
- Evidence of a clear 2-step TB skin test
- Evidence of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Desired Experience:

- Previous experience working as a PSW
- Familiar with POC (Point of Care) software
