Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc. is an approved employer through Ontario Health to offer a Recruitment Incentive to recent graduates from PSW programs in Ontario.

Are you a newly certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) looking for your first position in long-term care? You may be eligible for the Provincial PSW Incentive Grant of up to $10,000 when you join our team!

To qualify, you must:

- Be a new PSW starting your first PSW position.
- Accept a permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 60 hours bi-weekly.
- Commit to one year of employment with our organization.
- Maintain your minimum 60 bi-weekly hours throughout the incentive period.

Grant Payments:

- $5,000 after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
- $5,000 after successfully completing 12 months of employment.

Eligibility is subject to the Provincial PSW Funding Initiative guidelines. If your employment ends before the required milestones—whether initiated by you or the employer—the incentive payments will not be issued. What will you do.

- Reports to the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing
- Participates as a member of the home multidisciplinary team to provide care (including hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring, toileting, and mobility), assistance, and supervision for residents of the home
- Assists dependent residents and other residents with their meals; provides and serves nourishment between meals.
- Cleaning duties as required
- Observe and report health findings to the registered staff
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Documentation of care
- Must represent, understand, and be committed to the Mission and Values of the home
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislations

What will you need.

- PSW certification is required as per the requirements of the Long-Term Care Act and Regulations
- GPA training
- Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire




- TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
- Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, e-mail, internet use, and computerized documentation.
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- CPR, First Aid- an asset
