We are currently looking for a Personal Support assistant/caregiver to assist me with my daily Living . I am a 34yr old gentleman who has cerebral palsy, and I use a power wheelchair. Therefore, this position requires someone who has the strength, flexibility, and able to lift and transfer me. I also live in the St Norbert Area.. Daily activates include driving me to appointments, university, social outings etc. A valid class 5 drivers license is required for this evening position.

Training will be provided for each candidate. We are hiring for the following.

Day time caregiver starting at 8 am -4pm for Saturday and Sunday

Evening/night shift is from 4pm overnight to 8 am. You will be paid per hr with a flat rate through the night as you will sleep here. Private separate bedroom provided. We are looking for the right caregiver/caregivers to fill the following positions Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday as 1 position and we are flexible on these shifts.

Part-time positions also available for the evening on a casual basis as well.

Qualifications

- Male Personal Support Worker preferred
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada




- Valid Class 5 driver's License is required .
- You must be able to provide satisfactory criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and these should be no longer than 3 months old.
- You must have strong verbal and written communication skills and a willing desire to work.
- You must be strong and flexible enough with adjusting me in my wheelchair, in bed, and transferring met to and from various positions.
- Assistance required with university classes to drive me to and from class and sit with me in class with my tutor.
- You must be comfortable assisting with all types of personal hygiene care, including dressing, feeding, meal planning/cooking and daily light house keeping skills.

Job Types: Seasonal, Casual, Permanent, Part-time, Full time Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Education

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- supportive care: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving License valid class 5F is a definite requirement. (required)
