Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team at Salus Group. In this dynamic role, you will support the pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of a fast-paced environment. This unique roll offers the opportunity to work at multiple pharmacies within our company.

Your responsibilities will include data entry, assisting with medication preparation, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients. A strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices is preferred for success in this position.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.





Qualifications

- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with Pharmacy software, such as Kroll, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Driven, organized, adaptability and a willingness to learn are desirable traits.

Experience

- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- Pharmacy assistant : 1 year (preferred)
- Pharmacy software: 1 year (preferred)
