Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic Pharmacy Student Immunizers to join our team for the upcoming Fall 2026 immunization season!

Ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred due to our patient population.

This paid position offers an excellent prospect for pharmacy students to gain hands-on experience in immunization administration and community pharmacy practice. As a Pharmacy Student Immunizer, you will work closely with licensed pharmacists to provide immunization services and support the safe and effective delivery of vaccines.

The position is primarily part-time, casual and temporary/seasonal, with the possibility of continued employment after the immunization season based on availability, performance and operational needs.

Responsibilities

- Administer influenza, COVID-19 and other authorized vaccines
- Complete appropriate patient screening and pre-immunization assessments
- Obtain and document patient consent
- Prepare and administer immunizations in accordance with applicable standards and protocols
- Educate patients about vaccines, including potential side effects and aftercare instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation of immunizations in accordance with applicable privacy and practice requirements
- Monitor patients following immunization and assist with adverse event procedures when required




- Follow appropriate safety and infection prevention procedures
- Assist with immunization clinic set-up, organization and clean-up
- Support patient intake, appointment flow and customer service
- Stay informed of applicable immunization guidelines and updates from health authorities
- Assist pharmacists and the pharmacy team with other pharmacy-related duties as needed

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy program
- Eligible to practise and administer injections as a pharmacy student in BC
- Current injection/immunization certification applicable to pharmacy students in BC
- Completion of required immunization training and competencies
- Current CPR certification, where required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and reassure patients
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- Availability during the peak fall immunization season
- Previous community pharmacy and/or immunization experience is an asset, but not required
- Experience with pharmacy software and prescription processing is an asset
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin communication skills are preferred due to patient demographics

Schedule

- Part-time / Casual / Seasonal
- Primarily during the Fall 2026 flu and COVID-19 vaccination season




- Weekday and/or Saturday shifts may be available
- Hours will vary depending on pharmacy location and immunization demand
- Expected start around mid-October 2026, depending on the provincial immunization campaign and vaccine availability

Compensation $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on pharmacy experience, year of study, immunization experience and overall qualifications.
