This full-time position within the Art Curator's Office involves thorough documentation and conservation of the university's extensive art collection. Your role as an Art Gallery and Collections Technician will include preparing exhibitions, installation, and maintaining safe handling protocols of artworks. Collaborate closely with artists and curators while ensuring efficient gallery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely store and oversee artworks in the collection • Conduct regular inventory checks and report on conditions • Arrange loans and manage documentation efficiently • Coordinate installations and deinstallations for exhibitions • Maintain gallery cleanliness and organization
Requirements: • Degree in fine arts or related field • At least two years in art handling and installation • Familiarity with artistic display and safe transport methods • Excellent verbal and written communication • Solid attention to detail and organization
