Summary The Lead Piping Analysis Engineer will work within the Piping Analysis team of GE Vernova Hitachi (GVH).

The Piping

Analysis team is responsible for performing analysis of nuclear safety related piping and piping supports to show code and regulatory compliance. The group services the new plants projects organization primarily focused on the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor.

The Piping

Analysis team has strong interfaces with the Systems Design, Civil Structural Design, Reactor Design, and Integrated Plants Design teams. Utilize knowledge and experience to solve and deliver outcomes to customers Work cooperatively throughout GVH to develop approaches for solving technical issues. Support procurement and subcontract activities associated with new plant projects Maintain and develop technical design procedures associated with piping and pipe support analysis activities.

Maintain, and facilitate the use of analysis software Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Other Engineering Disciplines may be acceptable based on work experience) from an accredited college or university. Minimum 3 years Nuclear (or closely related) Industry Experience S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S. export-controlled technology. This position will report onsite to the Markham, ON office 3 days a week.

Industry knowledge / experience Experience with pipe and support analysis tools Hexagon PIPESTRESS and GT STRUDL Dynamic Analysis Experience Engineer In Training certificate and desire to obtain PE or P Eng License Strong communication skills and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments Robust data analyst capabilities and ability to create small automation scripts to streamline analyses (PYTHON, etc.) Export Control Laws, which mandate all citizenships (including dual citizenships) be from the U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual under the U.Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.You must have legal authorization to work in Canada and any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation. Strong consideration will be given to Indigenous persons. The term Indigenous refers to individuals who identify as being descended from the original inhabitants (the first peoples) of what is now known as Canada.

In this context, Indigenous people are First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit The base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000 CAD Annual. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
