Job Details

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 44-hour work week; occasional overtime may be required

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour based on skill and experience

Responsibilities

· Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment safely and efficiently.

· Prepare, lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before welding.

· Complete welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

· Read and follow blueprints, sketches, specifications, and layout plans to determine work methods and sequences.

· Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure finished work meets required specifications.

· Control heat input to help prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of metal.

· Chip, grind, and remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from completed work.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to determine the best approach for each job.

Qualifications





· Minimum 3 years of welding experience preferred, including hands-on pipe welding experience.

· Ability to complete welds with minimal supervision while meeting quality and safety expectations.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layout plans.

· Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Good time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.

· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team.

· Current TSSA tickets are considered an asset.

· Positioner experience is considered an asset.

Work Environment

· Work is performed primarily in a welding shop environment.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods.
