Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta, a key site within our Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing network specializing in low-voltage power distribution equipment, Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and customized electrical solutions for industrial and infrastructure customers.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the site, leading a cross-functional manufacturing organization across operations, supply chain, planning, engineering, quality, safety and people leadership.
Supported by an established leadership team and strong market demand, you will play a critical role in scaling operational performance, supporting profitable growth and driving the continued evolution of one of Schneider Electric Canada's strategic manufacturing facilities.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the overall performance of the Edmonton manufacturing facility, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial results.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, planning, procurement, engineering, quality, health and safety, and human resources.
- Support the continued growth of the facility by scaling operations, increasing capacity and driving operational excellence within an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and employee engagement.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;), production planning and capacity planning activities to align customer demand, project execution and manufacturing capabilities with business objectives.
- Develop, coach and inspire a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and employee development.
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, fostering an inclusive, people-centered culture that promotes engagement, performance and collaboration.
- Drive operational and financial performance through disciplined execution, workforce planning, productivity initiatives, inventory optimization and effective resource management.
- Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure the successful execution and delivery of complex low-voltage power distribution, Motor Control Center (MCC) and switchboard projects.
- Represent the facility with customers, business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders while ensuring successful execution of business priorities, strategic initiatives and growth objectives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational performance, profitability, customer experience and the long-term competitiveness of the Edmonton manufacturing operation.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Significant progressive manufacturing leadership experience within complex industrial environments.
- Experience leading large manufacturing operations through multiple levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated success driving operational performance, business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Robust financial and business acumen, including responsibility for budgets, workforce planning, productivity and profitability.
- Experience operating in environments where safety, quality and delivery performance are critical to business success.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, production planning and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to influence across functions and lead teams through growth and change.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Experience within power systems, electrical equipment, Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing, industrial equipment, aerospace, automotive or other complex industrial manufacturing environments will be considered an asset.

The expected pay range is CAD $161,600 - CAD $242,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
