Aquasetic Plumbing & Drain Services is looking for an experienced Plumbing Apprentice or Plumbing Helper to assist with residential and commercial plumbing and drain work.
This is not an entry-level general labour position. We are looking for someone who already has hands-on plumbing experience and can contribute productively on a jobsite while continuing to learn and develop in the trade.
Ideally, applicants should have at least 2 years of practical plumbing experience.
Duties may include
- Assisting with residential and commercial plumbing installations and repairs
- Drainage, waste and vent piping
- Water distribution piping
- Rough-in and finishing work
- Working with ABS, PVC, copper and PEX
- Installing toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, pumps and other plumbing fixtures
- Drain cleaning and sewer camera work
- Underground plumbing and excavation
- Measuring, cutting and assembling piping
- Preparing tools and materials
- Maintaining an organized and safe jobsite
- Cleanup and removal of job debris
- Communicating professionally with customers and other trades
Requirements:
- Minimum approximately 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience preferred
- 306A apprentice registration is an asset but is not required
- Plumbing licence is not required
- Knowledge of common plumbing tools, fittings and materials
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to jobsites when required
- Physically capable of construction and plumbing work
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to follow instructions and work independently when appropriate
- Good attitude and willingness to continue learning
Having your own basic hand tools is an asset. The right candidate may initially work on a part-time or as-needed basis. Consistent work and increased responsibility may become available based on performance, reliability and workload.
