In this role, you will lead the independent risk management oversight of the Insurance business, delivering critical organizational guidance through rigorous monitoring, control environment assessments, and transparent communication of material market risk positions, trends, concentrations, and policy compliance.What will you do?Lead the implementation and coordination of an integral market risk management framework for the Insurance Companies' balance sheet.Perform and identify gap analysis to establish remediation plans for adherence to internal policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Implement and enhance market risk practices and key oversight programs within the second line.Advise senior management with insights into potential developments, risk concentrations, and risk trends that could result in significant financial losses under adverse market conditions.Oversee regular reviews of the Risk Appetite and Risk Limits frameworks for Market Risk, ensuring that risks are appropriately managed,
and tolerances are appropriately calibrated at the Enterprise level and by key business lines.Develop and execute market risk projects to implement a feasible infrastructure and enable reliable market risk measures, providing requirements in the design of key components of the strategic market risk platform, and ensuring these components are delivered effectively.Develop and maintain comprehensive Financial Risk Oversight policies and procedures and conduct due diligence for new products.What do you need to succeed?Must HaveProven track record leading risk management or market oversight functionsExecutive-level engagement skills, including the ability to debate and advocate positions with conviction and passion.Business Advisory experience with the proven ability to communicate complex concepts concisely to technical and non-technical audiencesStrong understanding of financial markets, trading businesses, alternative assets, exchange traded and over the counter markets and applicable risk frameworks.Thorough knowledge of traded products including derivatives and their associated risks.CFA,
