What You'll Do
As an Electrical Designer, you'll support the development and delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing electrical design packages and construction drawings
- Developing single-line diagrams, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
- Supporting substation, distribution, and industrial power system projects
- Assisting with electrical calculations, equipment selection, and design development
- Coordinating with engineers, utilities, contractors, and clients
- Participating in site visits, field investigations, and construction support activities
- Preparing material take-offs, technical documentation, and project deliverables
- Contributing to design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Supporting commissioning and project close-out activities
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in electrical design, drafting, or power systems engineering
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, or similar software
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid Class G driver's license
Assets
- Utility, substation, or industrial electrical design experience
- Protection & control knowledge
- SCADA, automation, or communications experience
- Familiarity with electrical studies and system modelling software
- Experience working in mining, utility, remote, or industrial environments

Compensation
$70,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
