Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test and maintain high-quality,
secure & stable code for use by other teams to deliver products and solutions for customers.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Develop estimates for tasks, evaluate risks and identify dependencies, to aid in planning.
- Work as part of a very collaborative team of software engineers, QAs and designers in Toronto and potentially other worldwide engineering sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of professional experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
- Outstanding programming, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on professional experience developing production software with AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of a daily workflow.
- Experience and familiarity in using web-based technologies, concepts, and constructs.
- Strong, demonstrable interest in software architecture and design.
- Knowledge of source control systems, especially Git & GitHub.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing web applications in a modular, componentized manner.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with usage of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with test automation tools & strategies.
