Join TransAlta as a Facility Operator for the Small Hydro facility in Revelstoke, BC. This full-time, in office role centers on operating, maintaining, and ensuring safety compliance.
As part of the Hydro Renewables team, you’ll report directly to the Manager, Asset Hydro. Your role will focus on day-to-day operations while providing input for long-term asset management. You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure reliable power generation while meeting regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage routine operations and execute maintenance plans
• Supervise contractors for maintenance tasks
• Conduct dam safety checks and report findings
• Optimize outage schedules with stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with hydro safety procedures
Requirements:
• Valid Journeyman Electrical/Millwright Ticket
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Understanding of power generation regulations
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft and SAP
• Ability to work on-call and travel as needed
