Join RioCan as a Property Accounting Specialist at the Lawrence Allen Centre, where you'll oversee the financial operations of a diverse real estate portfolio. Your role encompasses complex financial reconciliations and month-end reporting.
This position reports to the Manager of Property Accounting. You’ll leverage your financial expertise to handle everything from utility expense coding to coordinating tax assessments. Collaborate effectively with internal teams to enhance tenant account resolution and financial reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries for expenses
• Handle Accounts Payable coding and approvals
• Conduct month-end closing and revenue forecasting




• Liaise with managers for tenant issue resolutions
• Prepare management reports and budget forecasts
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting
• 3 to 5 years in property accounting roles
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Familiarity with Yardi software is an advantage
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
