Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are a busy CPA firm located on Vancouver West Broadway 2 mins walk from Vancouver City Hall Skytrain Station, seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing , ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and providing insightful account analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting and tax, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team workplace.

Duties

- Preparation of compilation and reviewed/audit financial statements
- Preparation of complex personal, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns, tax elections and other tax reporting forms
- Assistance with calculations and reporting of various corporate reorganizations, estates planning, business acquisitions and dispositions, compensation strategies and other transactions undertaken by our clients
- Training, overseeing and reviewing the work of more junior team members

Experience

- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in the public practice environment;
- Proficiency in accounting and tax softwares including Caseware, QuickBooks, Profile and Miscrosoft Excel?;
- Strong computer skills and familiar with Caseware, QuickBooks,



Microsoft Excel, and Profile;
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting;
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting;
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Be open minded and open to learn as the job progresses;
- Must have excellent communication skills dealing with clients and customers in both verbal and written English, enjoy a fast paced environment; and
- Must speak fluent Mandarin and/ or Cantonese.

- Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
