PUBLIC RELATIONS & EVENTS MANAGER

Under the direction of the Director of Communications, the Public Relations & Events Manager supports the organization’s communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives through the development, coordination, and implementation of communication activities and events. This role is responsible for visibility, coordinating media activities, and delivering events that enhance engagement and promote organization priorities.
The Public
Relations & Events Manager works collaboratively across teams and with external partners to ensure communication efforts and events are effectively planned, delivered, and aligned with organizational goals.
To be invited for an interview; the incumbent should have a degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Management, Journalism, or a related field; have 3-5 years of experience I communications, media relations, public relations, event coordination, or a related role; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
experience coordinating events and working with multiple stakeholders; proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms; spoken and written Inuktitut/Inuinnaqtun language is desirable and the willingness to learn is required.
Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
Starting salary is $103,600.00 per annum (commensurate with experience)
a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
Housing allowance of $35,865.00
